COVID-19 and Pollution

COVID-19 is a generation after SARS and MERS from the Coronavirus family.
Either COVID-19 developed from SARS and or MERS, changed its behaviour to be transmitted from animals to humans and as a result spread via human-to-human transmission with much larger global spread than SARS & MERS.
This means, formation of new variety and species (Evolution).
According to, Hugo de Vries (1901):
“Evolution is a jerky process where new varieties and species are formed by mutations (discontinuous variations) that function as raw material of evolution”.
A mutation, in biology, is an alteration in the nucleotide sequence of the genome of an organism, virus, or extrachromosomal DNA.
Mutations arise spontaneously at low frequency owing to the chemical instability of purine and pyrimidine bases and to errors during DNA replication. Natural exposure of an organism to certain environmental factors, such as ultraviolet light and chemical carcinogens.

Looks – clearly – that nature is loudly and strongly replying to our bad acts.
Pollution accelerates the sequence of mutation.
Balance should happen in the smallest “Eco niche” as well as “Planet Earth”- or else - “Destruction”!
We are inside a closed atmosphere everything directly affect us. It takes sometime but this time decreases as “Pollution” increases.

We will recover – no doubt – but we have to learn from this hard lesson from nature. No one knows how hard it will be the next “Epidemic”
“Stay at home” is the main and most effective way to control virus spread and give scientists a room of time to finalize the formulation of vaccine.
COVID-19 is a weak virus; every normal person can destroy with her/his immunology system without feeling. Problem is with persons with other diseases and elders (70+) where immunology system as well as general heath affected by age.
“Staying at home prevents you being a carrier of virus to spread to our beloved elders”
Again, each and every one should give a hand to stop “Pollution” directly by controlling individual behavior and indirectly by advising others and force decision makers to take actions.
Governments should focus on environment safety and consequently, everything will recover starting from economy.

Corona virus COVID-19 Trusted Updates

Panic is the most dangerous behaviour when we face such disasters!
Panic comes from lack of data and listening to rumors and not specialized persons without investigation.
Here is a link where you can follow up trusted Corona virus updates

NOVEL CORONA VIRUS MAP
144,393 confirmed cases
5,420 reported deaths
67,003 recovered*
Last updated 1:47pm Mar 14, 2020

These figures are not so bad - specially recovered cases – compared to seasonal influenza records.

According to WHO (World Health Organization):

Up to 650 000 people die of respiratory diseases linked to seasonal flu each year

CORONA VIRUS

CORONA VIRUS
Viruses are so tiny organisms that we can only see them by  an Electronic Microscope.
Outside host, viruses show no living activity at all   so they are considered a link between living organisms and non-living things. Once they are hosted, they control the host and use its reproduction units to reproduce (Multiply themselves), thus killing the host!
For example, Cholera bacteria live inside the host   cells and cause severe illness that mostly kills the host, but virus attacks the nucleus (the unit of reproduction inside the cell) and controls it to reproduce the virus not the host cell.
Corona virus is one of many that cause Influenza (flu).
According to the “World Health Organization”: common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
To reduce risk of spread of this epidemic disease, governments are advising people to stay home and not to go out unless it is necessary.
I wonder how some people can have a non-responsible behavior, disregarding to follow safety regulations, considering that they are free even to expose themselves to danger! Yes, my dear, you are free but when it comes to fighting such epidemic disease. You-Are-Not-Free to expose others to danger.

Crowded places are the best condition for virus spreading. Please let's go out only in case of real need to free a room for responsible organizations to control the situation.
